Les \u00c9tats-Unis envisagent de fournir \u00e0 Abuja des munitions et roquettes de pr\u00e9cision pour 346 millions US$.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les \u00c9tats-Unis ont donn\u00e9 leur feu vert \u00e0 une vente militaire potentielle au Nigeria portant sur des munitions, bombes et roquettes de pr\u00e9cision, pour un montant estim\u00e9 \u00e0 346 millions de dollars, a annonc\u00e9 la Defense Security Cooperation Agency<\/em> (DSCA) dans un communiqu\u00e9 publi\u00e9 mercredi \u00e0 Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon l\u2019agence, la commande nig\u00e9riane inclut notamment 1 002 bombes polyvalentes MK-82 de 500 livres, 1 002 ensembles a\u00e9rodynamiques MXU-650 pour bombes Paveway II GBU-12, 515 ensembles MXU-1006 pour Paveway II GBU-58, 1 517 groupes de commande MAU-169 ou MAU-209, 1 002 fus\u00e9es programmables FMU-152 et 5 000 roquettes guid\u00e9es Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II<\/em> (APKWS II).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des \u00e9quipements compl\u00e9mentaires \u2013 tels que fus\u00e9es FMU-139, composants de bombes, roquettes d\u2019exercice et mat\u00e9riel d\u2019essai \u2013 sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9vus, accompagn\u00e9s d\u2019un appui technique et logistique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington affirme que cette vente contribuera \u00e0 renforcer la capacit\u00e9 du Nig\u00e9ria \u00e0 lutter contre les organisations terroristes et \u00e0 contrer le trafic illicite dans le golfe de Guin\u00e9e, sans alt\u00e9rer l\u2019\u00e9quilibre militaire r\u00e9gional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les principaux contractants d\u00e9sign\u00e9s sont RTX Missiles and Defense (Arizona), Lockheed Martin Corporation (Pennsylvanie) et BAE Systems (New Hampshire).
